Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
As Administrator of the Commonwealth, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, conducted a swearing-in for the Hon. Michael McCormack MP as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure & Transport at Government House, Canberra. Mr Howard later conducted a tour of Government House, Victoria for UA3 Hamilton.
As Administrator of the Commonwealth, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosted a Special Olympics at Government House, Canberra.
As Administrator of the Commonwealth, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, presented the 2018 John Monash Scholarships and launched the Recent Conflicts Gallery, at the Shrine of Remembrance. They then attended the AFLW Pride Match.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, assumed administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia. The Governor met with Dr Helen Drennen AM, Principal, Wesley College, Trustee, Shrine of Remembrance and Monash University Council Member before, with Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosting a reception for TRY Australia's 135th Anniversary. They then visited the Consulate of Denmark where they signed the condolence book for HRH Prince Henrik, the late husband of HM The Queen of Denmark.
During a regional tour to Ararat, the Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, toured the kitchen garden of the Royal Mail Hotel, planted an oak tree at the Willaura Railway Station, visited the Moyston General Store and Wills Memorial, took a walk with Ararat Active, toured AME Systems and Legacy House, and then hosted a reception for members of the Ararat Community.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. During a regional tour to Ararat, the Governor met with Ararat Rural City Councillors and Executive Team, laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Victoria at the Ararat War Memorial, toured Ararat West Primary School and then conducted an Agricultural Round Table.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, received the call of University of Melbourne outgoing Vice-Chancellor Prof. Glyn Davis AC, incoming Vice-Chancellor Prof. Duncan Maskell and Mrs Maskell. Mr Anthony Howard QC conducted tours of the State Apartments for participants of the Term One Peace and Prosperity Kitchen Garden Program, and for students of Gleneagles Secondary College.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosted delegates of the University of Melbourne conference 'A Baroque Archbishop in Colonial Australia'. The Governor received His Excellency, Mr Andres Unga, Ambassador of Estonia. Later the Governor and Mr Howard, hosted a dinner for a Delegation from the International Association of Public Transport.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. The Governor then received Mr Osamu Mineno, Vice Chairperson of the Aichi Prefecture Assembly and delegation, before receiving Associate Professor Tilman Ruff AM, Founding Chair International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons.
The Governor, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, met with Mrs Amanda Elliott, Chairman Victoria Racing Club. The Governor received the call of Lady Cowen and then Mr Mark Leibler AC. Mr Anthony Howard QC conducted a tour of the State Apartments for Fareshare.
