Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, conducted an investiture ceremony. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard attended a ceremony to mark the installation of the John Charlton Memorial Window at the Shrine of Remembrance. Mr Howard visited Victoria University and presented certificates to graduates of the Australia-China Legal Education Program from the Jiangsu Bar Association. In the evening, the Governor hosted a reception for the Murdoch Children's Research Women's Network.
The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC visited Brite Services, Broadmeadows to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Later, the Governor participated in an historic Law Institute Victoria photograph celebrating women in the legal profession. In the evening, the Governor and Mr Howard hosted a Governor's Performance Series Concert by the Stiletto Sisters. The Governor was represented at the State Funeral of Mr Anthony Foster by Det Supt David Cowan, Victoria Police.
The Governor presided at a meeting of Executive Council and then, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC hosted the United Nations Association of Australia (Victoria Division) Model UN Conference. Later, the Governor and Mr Howard received the call of Mr Kazuyoshi Matsunaga, Consul-General for Japan and Mrs Yoko Matsunaga and then received the call of Mr Jim Miller, Chairman & Mr Michel Masson, CEO, Infrastructure Victoria.
The Governor opened the Australian Veterinary Association Annual Conference and later, with Mr Anthony Howard QC, received the call of HE Mr Mohamed Khairat, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt and Mrs Omneya Khairat.
The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, attended a Reception to farewell athletes participating in the 2017 Maccabi Games in Israel.
The Governor, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, spoke at the Melbourne Law School's 160th Anniversary Gala Dinner.
The Governor conducted an Investiture and later addressed the BioMelbourne Network Connecting Women Luncheon.
The Governor, as Patron, accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosted a reception for the launch of “Voyage of Hope – History of Odyssey House in Australia”.
The Governor accompanied by Mr Anthony Howard QC opened the Jona Children's Sensory Garden at QEC, Noble Park, and later, the Governor was interviewed by Joy FM.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council. Later, the Governor and Mr Anthony Howard QC, hosted a Morning Tea for members of the Royal Over-Seas League.
