Notes on the program of the Governor of Victoria.
The Governor, accompanied by Judge Howard, laid a wreath on behalf of the people of Victoria at UN Memorial Cemetery, Busan. Later, they visited the Port of Busan.
The Governor and Judge Howard toured the Joint Security Area in the demilitarised zone; and visited the Aerospace and Defence Exhibition 2015 in Seoul.
The Governor and Judge Howard commenced their Official Visit to the Republic of Korea. In Seoul, they met with Mr Bill Patterson, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea and attended a dinner hosted by Professor KIM Woo Sang, former Ambassador to Australia.
The Governor and Judge Howard visited the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo.
The Governor and Judge Howard visited the Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art at the Aichi Arts Centre. In Tokyo, the Governor met with Mr Bruce Miller, Australian Ambassador to Japan.
The Governor and Judge Howard met with Mr Kenichro Niwa, President of Linimo Fujigaoka Station and travelled to Yakusa Station. They then visited the Australian Garden, Aichi Greenification Center; and the Aichi Prefectural University where the Governor delivered an address to students. In the afternoon, they visited the Aichi Prefectural Ceramic Museum and later attended a dinner hosted by Governor Masaaki Kanda, Chairman of the Aichi International Association.
The Governor and Judge Howard met with Mr Hitoshi Tanemura, Chairman of Noritake and toured the Noritake plant and museum; and also met with Mr Hiroyoshi Ninoyu, Executive General Manager of Toyota Nagoya and toured the Toyota Kaikan Museum and Motomachi Plant. Later, they called on Mr Hideaki Ohmura, Governor of Aichi Prefecture and attended a dinner hosted by Governor Ohmura.
The Governor and Judge Howard arrived in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, Japan and attended a dinner hosted by the International Affairs Division, Aichi Prefectural Government.
The Governor called on Mr Paul Tighe, Australian Consul-General for Hong Kong and Macau. Later, the Governor and Judge Howard visited 1881 Heritage and the Hong Kong MTR Operations Centre.
The Governor and Judge Howard, met with Mrs Carrie Lam, Chief Secretary for Administration, HKSAR and visited the PMQ design and creative industries hub in Hong Kong.
