The Governor received a call from Mr Andrew Jaspen, Director of The Conversation; and later, together with His Honour Judge Anthony Howard, attended the 2015 Brownlow Medal Vote Count at Crown Melbourne.
His Honour Judge Anthony Howard visited the Red Cross of Victoria premises as Patron of their organisation.
The Governor received a call from Mr Michael Varcoe-Cocks, Head of Conservation, National Gallery of Victoria.
The Governor delivered the opening address of The Resolution Institute's 2015 Kongress; and attended the Royal Melbourne Show Women in Food and Agriculture Luncheon. Later, the Governor welcomed the Youth Engagement Strategy Consultation Group participants to Government House.
The Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council; and received a call from Mrs Dewi Savitri Wahab, Consul-General for the Republic of Indonesia. The Governor hosted a luncheon in honour of Mr GAO Feng, Vice-Governor of the Yunnan Provincial People's Congress.
The Governor and Judge Howard attended the launch of the University of Melbourne Alan Goldberg Scholarship; later they hosted the 2015 Endeavour Australia Cheung Kong Awards and hosted a dinner in honour of Mr H.L. Kam, Group Managing Director of Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited.
The Governor hosted the Scouts and Guides Awards Presentation at Government House and later officially opened the 2015 Royal Melbourne Show.
On Friday, the Governor recorded a message for the 2015 Australian Honours and Awards Investiture.
The Governor officially opened the Australian Catholic University Conference "Pope Francis and Other Prophetic Voices"; she received a call from the Hon. Chief Justice Marilyn Warren AC, Lieutenant Governor of Victoria; and presided at the Australian Citizenship Ceremony. Later, the Governor and Judge Howard hosted a reception to recognise the appointment of the Hon. Geoffrey Nettle and the Hon. Michelle Gordon to the High Court of Australia.
The Governor received calls from Ms Rowena Allen, Commissioner for Gender and Sexuality; and Mr Scott Tanner, Chair of Committee for Melbourne. Later, the Governor and Judge Howard hosted a reception to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Arts Centre Melbourne.
